The global pandemic has our state and communities facing situations and possibilities that no one expected. From health care challenges to employment and economic ones, we’re seeing and experiencing things that no one in our lifetime has before.

But despite these challenging times, we need bold and forward-thinking leadership locally and on a state level. Leadership that won’t shrink away from making decisions and pursuing projects that will help our economy recover from the pandemic and take us forward, not backward, during this time and following it.

The Multi-use Corridors of Regional Economic Significance (M-CORES) is one of these projects that is innovative, advanced and 100% needed. Senate President Bill Galvano and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis were on the ball in realizing that this would be a critical project for our state, especially with millions of more people expected to call Florida home in the next decade. And that was before the pandemic. Now, this project is needed even more.
